Pastoral Ministry
Pastoring Ministry, Presbyterian Church in India ( Reformed). It is also called Pastoral Ministry. It is the role of caring for and leading a Church community spiritually. It's centered on guiding people in their faith, leading, and shepherding to the flock.
In Pastoring Ministry, there are several key responsibilities.
Teaching and Preaching.
As the pastor explains, Scripture (the Bible) helps people understand it and apply it to everyday life through sermons and teaching.
Spiritual Care (Shepherding).
This involves supporting individuals emotionally and spiritually, visiting the sick, counselling those in difficulty, depressed people, comforting grieving families, and praying with members.
Leadership and guidance.
Pastors help and guide the direction of the Church, organize ministries, and encourage spiritual growth within the community.
Discipleship.
Pastor mentors believers, helping them to grow in faith, character, and understanding of Christian teaching. Visiting the church members and advising them to have a biblical foundation in the Bible.
Administering Sacrament/Ordinances.
These leading practices include: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is given to both infants and adult believers. The Lord's Supper is a remembrance of Jesus Christ's sacrifice. And also understood as a spiritual participation in Christ's presence.
Community building.
A big role of Pastoring is building a sense of unity, love, and accountability within the church. Pastoral ministry is strongly rooted in biblical imagery, especially in the concept of Jesus as the good shepherd (John: 10).

Children's Ministry:
The Presbyterian Children Fellowship, Presbyterian Church in India (Reformed) is all about helping children grow in their understanding of God in ways that are meaningful, engaging, and age-appropriate. It's a foundational part of spiritual formation.
Children's ministry focuses on teaching biblical truths in simple, relatable ways. Stories from the Bible, like those in the Bible are often shared through storytelling, skits, videos, and interactive discussions so children can connect with them personally.
